Abstract
Communication and Team Management
by Di Girolamo Anna
The success of a dental practice is determined by a number of factors; among these, the ability to build a high-performing, well-organized and coordinated work team is very often overlooked, with a strong orientation towards results and great care for internal relationships which are then able to be reflected in the relationship and patient loyalty. Contrary to what happened in the past, the professional today finds himself in need of increasingly broad and structured skills that go beyond medical ones: being a good team leader does not only mean being a good doctor and organizing work operationally; it means putting in place a series of skills that have become essential both to attract quality collaborators and to build highly performing teams for the benefit of the patient. Knowing the mechanisms of human communication and having an understanding of the mechanisms that move interpersonal dynamics are necessary steps to allow the professional to start building his own high performance team.
