Abstract

Lower Arch Mesialization. Is It Really Difficult with Aligners?

by Palma Susana

During the last years, we have seen the improvement in the clinical results with aligners. Nevertheless, there are still movements that are difficult to obtain with the aligners if we don’t choose the correct sequence of movements. The strategic use of differential anchorage with the aligners in combination with the use of auxiliary techniques help us to improve the predictability of complex movements such as the lower arch mesialization in class II correction of mandibular cause. We will show complex cases of class II where TADs, locatelli have been used to improve and shorter the class II treatments, stablishing a strong anchorage system and ensuring the fitting of our aligners to improve the final result. Key words: distalization, mesialization, locatelli, microscrews.
