Private practice in orthodontics since 1983. Currently in Richterswil and Lugano (CH).Part time assistant Professor at the University of Siena from 1993 to 2015. Secretary General of SIDO in the years 98-99. Founder, honorary member and vice-president of SIBOS 1999-2002. President of Biomede from 2019 to 2022. Main professional interests;: orthodontic biomechanics, segmented arch technique and adult orthodontic treatment. He has published about 40 papers and book chapters on the above-mentioned fields. Has co-published the “Biomechanics in Orthodontics” multimedia software, and created the software T3do/DMA for orthodontic treatment planning and mechanics design. In charge for the “Adult Orthodontics” postgraduate program, University of Siena, 2002 to 2013. He currently holds private courses of biomechanics, and is head of the European Orthodontic Biomechanics School, which organizes since 2013 an intensive 5-week program attended by orthodontists from all continents.
