Dr.Erverdi completed his phd in orthodontics in Hacettepe university Ankara in 1985. In 1987 he joined the Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry Department of orthodontics and until 2016 he worked there and retired as full professor.In 2017 he joined the Okan university faculty of dentistry. He is one of the founders of the Turkish Orthodontic Society.In 2000 he was elected as the councilor of the European orthodontic society.In 2003 he was accepted as the full member to the North Atlantic Component of the Edward Angle Society.He was elected as the president of the European Orthodontic Society for the year of 2011.His book about Archwise Distraction Osteogenesis was published by Springer company in the years of 2014-2022.His book Contemporary Orthodontics in Turkish language was published in the year of 2017-2020.Dr.Erverdi is still the programme chair of the postgraduate orthodontic programme in Okan university faculty of dentistry.
